The problem is, it's very difficult to fight for democracy when your opponent has won by both the national and popular vote. What were they supposed to do? Pull a January 6th? Biden signed a bunch of executive orders and did everything he could to slow down and interfere with Trump, and that's all he could do within the system of law and order which he was trying to protect.

The election is over now, power has been transferred, and hindsight is going to be 20/20. Let's not infight over this.

We can let that cartoon represent the Canadian people.

@Raccoon @Npars01 @ElleGray Oh I don't mean for there to be misunderstandings here. Legally there wasn't a whole lot that Harris could have done (though I really wish she hadn't conceded quite so quickly.)

I just mean simply that if you want to find someone to stand up to the new regime, you're going to have to look elsewhere. (I'd bet on AOC being among the better bets.)

This is a great reference, especially when you consider that the Canadian government has some pretty strong backing from its own people here, while the United States government does not. This is likely going to be Trump's Waterloo, in which simply outlasting him is very viable, and everyone working against him knows it.

So yes, Trump is very much like Goliath here, stomping about thinking himself invincible, about to find out what happens when you pick on the little guy.
