Don't know who said it first but it bears repeating—if you really don't think what Musk repeatedly did was a Nazi salute, please record yourself doing that exact thing and post it across all social media, and make sure your employer sees it.

@QasimRashid a paramedic got yeeted from the Ambulance service round here for doing exactly the same a few years back (even though there is a shortage of paramedics and he claimed it was "done in jest")

It really didn't matter to me if it was an accidental arm gesture, twice.

The people who are Nazis saw it and that's permission to keep being nazis, and in fact encouragement.

I am largely with you, but if I allowed my employer's political opinion to have any effect on my moral compass whatsoever, I would be lost anyway.

American mileage [weak trade unions resulting in weak employee protection] may vary.

Employers like Ford, Musk et al. were never on our side - so let's not count them in as allies let alone last line of defense.

@QasimRashid Elon the #oligarch did the #Nazi salute precisely because he wants to normalize that despicable behavior. He wants people do imitate him. He knows that Il Douche got political power precisely by creating the permission structure for bigots to say things that they were previously afraid of saying out loud in public. In all my 73 years, I've never known anyone to accidentally make that gesture. Almost invariably, people use an open hand with spread fingers, which is the natural gesture of greeting/ goodwill.
