this is scary, but at least he has the attitude to sign a letter ousting RMS, instead of the anonymous people behind this website which looks to me as a character assassination attempt targeted towards him.

and even if this is indeed him, people change over the course of 10 years.

judging by the timeline it was posted, it's irrelevant and didn't have the impact the anonymous people behind it expected it to have. 4 months later, he wasn't cancelled.

@xinayder Oh, cool tactic to defend DeVault huh. No, he hasn't changed in the slightest, If he did then he wouldn't be so obsessed about trying to silence people like Vaxry who just want to code and nothing more. His authoritarian methods and childish whining over people not playing by his rules perfectly reflect that.

There's clear proof given there that he's behind this document, he has defended loli and also has published browser tabs over the years where he has shown such stuff present.

@xinayder Also let's not forget who has started attempts to assassinate creative people like Vaxry and figures who have done a lot towards history of Free software like RMS, so trying to paint DeVault like a victim there is just retarded.

I would rather think of protecting minors from ever getting in touch with this person than trying to silence people down for not having the same opinions. Freedom 0 guarantees them freedom of expression even If I despise Dorsey he's still allowed to speak.

You don't get to say "people change over the course of 10 years" when the entire basis of one of his accusations against RMS is an awkward social interaction that happened half a century ago, the evidence for which was entirely hearsay anyway. Meanwhile DeVault is literally a closet child molester, and unlike with RMS, wehave the evidence to prove it because his opsec was shit and he just put all of it out there for us to see under the same name. It only took an hour after Kiwifarms picked up on the story to uncover everything: political motives, the lies, the skeletons in the closet and all.

You can argue all you want that cmpwn didn't write The Stallman Report or the screenshotted posts, but the evidence, both hard and circumstantial, all point to him being at least one of the authors if not the sole author, of everything he's accused of putting online. The signing of the report was an opsec failure, not something done out of honesty. He tried to cover it up and still denies being the author.

All of the arguments presented within The Stallman Report are hypocritical at best and utterly fucking laughable at worst, the entire report consisted of "richard said this thing" taken out of context or intentionally misquoted to mean something else. The one thing that Richard actually said that was pretty fucked up, even Drew himself admits in the report he later walked back on, even before he got in trouble with the FSF the first time over it.

@soatok this is a great opportunity to organize a protest LAN party, preferably with a foss game. All you need is a couple switches, ethernet cables and some power cords, and the only real problem you have would be getting people off the stage by 12:30
