Fair advance warning for the election season ahead in Canada: don’t you dare tell me you’ll support the Conservatives “because the economy”

… Conservatives consistently have the worst track record for economic performance, and the growth they do create is more unevenly distributed.

If you are going to support the CPC at least come up with a believable excuse, like “I want to punch down on the homeless and trans people”

I was talking to a former red Tory MP (1970s era). He donated last year to the federal NDP, as he was impressed by what they got out of the supply and confidence agreement. Which i think says something about both the fed conservatives and the NDP. At any rate, he wants nothing to do with the current Conservative party.

ABC is my strategy too. I live in Ontario, and I love my current LPC MP, but I intend to vote for whichever candidate has the best chance against the CPC.

BTW, the CPC candidate in my riding is Matt effing Strauss. Remember the acting Medical Officer of Health who said he’d sooner have his kids get COVID than eat a Happy Meal? The anti-vaxxer MD who was fired by Queens medical school? Yeah. That’s who’s on “Team Poilievre” in my riding. All the best people…🤔

Could also say, "I think that selling our environmentally-protected land parcel by parcel to foreign investors (to whom Ford owes money and/or favours) for pennies on the dollar is an economically sound option."

No matter which way you swing the 'conservatives are for the economy' bat, it's going to miss that ball marked 'realism'.

Feel free to point them to your neighbor down south (us in the U.S.), where after the election, the president elect suddenly admits that he can’t, actually, lower the price of eggs.

How often did I hear about “the price of eggs” and “kitchen table issues” before the election in the media from people who voted for that clown.
