ugh. you check Logitech for a wired mouse, and they've got three models:

@foone some (most?) Logitech wireless mice can be used tethered if you choose to
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from piggo@piggo.space
@piggo @foone
Sadly not the expensive MX Master series of products (at least not the MX Keys or MX Master 3)

@LeoDJ @foone You're right, interesting. At least it's charging over the cable

@foone Yeah the M100 is the One True Mouse now. Want fancy features? Tough - have to go wireless :-(
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from TomF@mastodon.gamedev.place
@TomF @foone M500s for me. Slightly more ergonomic, and with exactly the right amount of fancy features. Not ambidextrous though, and the buttons die after a few years.

@KeyJ @TomF yeah that's the one I've got, but the cable is dying.
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from foone@digipres.club
@foone @KeyJ that's the nice thing about he M100. Cheap enough you can just buy three at a time. So I did!
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from TomF@mastodon.gamedev.place
@foone @KeyJ @TomF You can just buy a replacement for the USB to JST cables for whatever mouse model from eBay and such (I have so many mice in the household that all use the same cable that MX510 uses that I just buy them a few at a time so I have spares)
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from rakslice@mastodon.social
@rakslice @foone @KeyJ Oh, so it's a fairly universal cable? Good to know. I have a cat that stress-chews :-(

@foone
Been pretty happy with my Razer Viper, FWIW. I don't use it much for gaming but it's a great general purpose wired mouse.

@foone I think their site filtering is awful.
I just checked and the G203 doesn't show if you look for corded mice but it's there if you search for it, and in stock.

@foone Weirdly they separate the gaming mice into a different section and they still have a few wired ones. Probably way overpriced for what you want, though.

@foone Not sure I can even survive without an MX Master anymore. ๐

@foone I have four Logitech G300 new in box in addition to the two in active use, because mice with the specific features I want appear maybe once a decade.

@foone I guess you mean the M500s? That's the one I've used every day for years. Looks like Microcenter will ship it: https://www.microcenter.com/product/684092/logitech-m500s-advanced-corded-mouse-graphite

@foone if you want just a good classic mouse, wired, with modern dpi and refresh rates + button mapping, and the ability to turn the lights OFF easily, what I use is the steelseries sensei (mine is the older "RAW" one, but the new ones are exactly the same) Entire reason I bought it at first was that it's literally a classic Logitech mouse but with modern switches and sensors, i have two of them now, one for home, one for travel.

@foone
Go work in a government department with the least cost compliance mouse.
Then every other mouse you can find at the stores seems awesome in comparison.

@foone Logitech is annoying lately with their lack of wired... Anything.

@foone And yes, that's the same Cherry who make keyboard switches.
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from mos_8502@studio8502.ca
@mos_8502 @foone are you sure it doesnโt need 40 more buttons and a few more knobs?

I imagine the click is very tactilely satisfying?

@foone ah yes the G502 is amazing

@foone the discontinued ones can often be found on AliExpress, and if you don't go for the way way too cheap ones (i.e. 1% of the original price) you will receive the same internals as well
