Currently dabbling in some #PowerElectronics design.

If all goes to plan, it should be a 5-60V ~15A bidirectional buck-boost converter, hopefully supporting USB-PD EPR.

And if that wasn't challenging enough, I decided to try to squeeze it into 50x25mm ^^"

The thermal design will get interesting, I'm currently planning for many thermal vias and a big heat sink on the underside.

After some days of component selection and tetris-ing, I'll soon be ready for the actual routing ^^"

Helped to organize our own chaos event in Heilbronn, the #DHCP24

Had a great time at many events, met many good friends, made a few more and generally had a really great time last year.

Built the (shitposty) #USB2Speakon adapter

Designed a new revision of the #SSD1303 breakout PCB

Developed a small ESP-NOW telemetry and logging framework for a model rocket #jfzhn project

Finished reverse engineering the #startergenerator. It spins now! \o/

Built #TheLAEMPAN together with @techbeard and @Toble_Miner (RGB replacement PCBs for IKEA LAMPANs, more info coming sometime™)

Because I like the concept, here's this years #GoodOf2024. A concise list of projects I did in 2024, to actually convince my brain that yes, I actually achieved something.

Helped @patagona with his ISDT #CM1620 reverse engineering

Built the #Framework #DongleHiderPlus expansion card

Implemented MQTT data logging for the #ePocketBike stats

Started development of an #Arduino compatible Ethernet stack for the cheap #CH32V208 MCUs (built-in 10M PHY)

Does anyone know a good cross platform language / framework (for Android, Windows, Linux), that allows me good low-level USB access (vendor control transfers) and UVC streaming of the same device?

Ideally without needing to write too much platform-dependent code and offering a semi-unified GUI.

[#]MQTT using the Arduino #PubSubClient library seems to work now too!

And it also passed the ultimate test: compilation on another PC ^^

Currently, there's just a few lines of platformio.ini configuration needed to use the library. Which was my main goal, yay ^^

(Although it's still pretty hacked together. Also, some changes to external libraries could be handled more elegantly & pull-requested, but eh, it works rn)
