@janl I had one, and I could type pretty fast. I now have had the “classic” Thinkpad keyboards (never had them when those laptops were new, but now I occasionally dabble with used hardware) and I personally think the Thinkpads are better.
The 12” PowerBook G4 keyboard never had an issue like a key snapping off, for me, though. So they were pretty reliable and durable.
