@fskornia @CyberpunkLibrarian @libcolleen My first (public) library hired a now well-known architect to design a new central branch to replace an outgrown classic Carnegie.
It is very beautiful from the outside. He didn't care for bookshelves, so some of the interior choices for staff are interesting. And the showpiece chairs he designed are awful. But it IS accessible, at least.
I learned in architecture class that form must ALWAYS respect function. Never does in Big Architect libraries...
