@bluebirch FWIW I've used M-Audio Fast Track without hassle on Linux. Other M-Audio branded stuff I've used without problems, it's just recognised as USB class devices that work out of the box.
I personally have no experience with this piece of kit but it looks like it has what you need, and a quick search suggests people get it running on Linux just fine.
