Cool cool, my desktop machine that I have got for a few years now, came with #Windows, that I of course never actually booted into (installed #Linux right away).

The ACPI table still contains a product key that I could successfully use to activate Windows that I installed inside a VM on my new laptop.

It was right here:

sudo strings /sys/firmware/acpi/tables/MSDM
