A badly timed power cut last night meant I missed the first half of the listening party for @stephan’s new album, Malers H​ü​s. As such I’m catching up in full now and listening from the start.

My wife has no idea of the context i.e. I just put it on and she doesn’t know what it is. Her first response was, “Oooh this is lovely. It feels like being in a bothy in the Hebrides.”

• Not a million miles from the artist’s own description: “Malers Hü​s has its origins on Föhr, with three songs and five instrumentals inspired by the tranquil surroundings of the wintry North Sea island.”
