It's not really enjoyable to watch colleagues getting all excited by some Suno generated bullshiit while not giving a fuck about my new album.

It's not really enjoyable when almost nobody notices said new album but I can be sure that it will be scraped and harvested to make money for some AI bros.

It's not really enjoyable to live in a world where music is completely devalued and desecrated by AI bros.

It's strange to go back to that old EP.

It's definitely the release that sold the least as it wasn't through the label but just self-released, with my usual inability to sell myself.

I earned 2.69€ with it in one year.

Still, I'm not sad. I don't care and I really wonder why that is.

Maybe it's because I never put any effort into the production and there are no beautiful songs on it. It's raw, experimental, it's what it is, and I had fun doing it, period.

Food for thought…

While updating to #faircamp 1.0 the other day, I suddenly realized that I had been providing the wrong audio files for “The Gottstreu E.P.” the whole time...!

The audio up until now was a preliminary version of the master. The EP went through several revisions afterwards; I have no idea how this could have happened, but here we are… 😳

fell off of me. It was just the vast Reinhardswald in winter, a warm fire in the oven, the person I love and the dogs, and a good time. So it was easy to take those two inspirations and have a little bit of fun with them.

Tim Cook is putting me in a very difficult situation indeed.

I have been using Logic since the time it was called "Notator" and ran on the Atari ST.

That's 31 years now.

Using it has become second nature to me. I know everything about it, it feels like a natural extension of my self in the studio.

But now that it's clear that the CEO of the folks who produce Logic spends his time in Donald Trump's rectum, I feel more and more disgusted using it… 🤢

Spiele mit dem Gedanken, #pixelfed eine neue Chance zu geben und dort dieses Jahr ein 365-Projekt zu machen.

Jetzt scrolle ich aber gerade durch den "globalen" Feed und finde: Abfotografiertes Anime, poppende Gestalten vom NSFW-Bot, diverse Screenshots, AI-"Kunst", Sinnsprüche, Schlagzeilen mit Politikern die ich nicht sehen will, und überhaupt erstaunlich viel, was mit Fotografie echt wenig zu tun hat.

Daher die Frage an die Fotograf:innen und #Fotografie-Interessierten hier:

Ich persönlich würde gerne in einer Welt leben, in der ganz allgemein nicht so wahnsinnig herzzerreißend viele Tiere (und Menschen) unter der Rücksichtslosigkeit und Dummheit ganz enorm weniger (Menschen) leiden müssen.

Natürlich sind wir davon leider 2024 noch weiter entfernt als in den Jahren zuvor.

Trotzdem braucht es nur eine Silvesternacht am Gnadenhof, um wieder Hoffnung zu schöpfen.

Dann nämlich, wenn man all die Menschen sieht, die in diesen Stunden für die Tiere da sind. ❤️

Auch Silvester '24 müssen wir am Gnadenhof leider wieder einige besonders schreckhafte Pferde über den Jahreswechsel hinweg sedieren.

Das belastet sie zwar auch, ist aber immer noch 1000x besser, als dass sie sich vor der Silvesterböllerei buchstäblich zu Tode erschrecken – was leider auch schon vorgekommen ist. Mehrfach.

Echte Hardcore-Böllerer lässt das natürlich kalt. Aber von den anderen lassen sich vielleicht noch ein paar umstimmen… insofern, gerne :boost_requested:
