@semenko1979 the same that happened when the US supported the genozide in Gaza: nothing. Neither democrats, republicans or the allies of the US give a f*ck about international law, so they have completely destroyed it in the last few years.

@semenko1979 Globally speaking, someone is going to have to stick their neck out to levy charges (that took like 8 months IIRC with Israel), and then the equivalent of a trial, I imagine. Discussions and bureaucracy.

Then, probably, sanctions. I would be absolutely shocked if anyone in the world thought that they could stand directly against the US, technologically speaking, so what else could they do?

The best thing that Americans can do right now is slow Trump down, probably. But we need some fucking leaders.

If anyone brings a resolution to the UN, the US will veto it in the Security Council.

Any law only works when there is a sufficient force behind it. That is why international law only works sporadically.

Trump is trying to create the same conditions domestically.

@semenko1979 Nothing because both its immediate neighbours and the EU would rather negotiate on commercial & economic grounds than on moral ones. The international rule of law I'm afraid is as good as roadkill after the ongoing extermination of Palestinians but the ICC may still prove me wrong, I guess.

@semenko1979 @stufromoz The usual ways of dealing with breaches of international law are to either ignore them, or to send your army to invade the country committing them and arresting its leader.

So it’ll be one of those options.
