A more indirect benefit is that working from home allows relocating to a place where you can go several days without even seeing another human being.

Just the birds and the occasional squirrel and rabbit. Except in the summer, there's also the mosquitos and the summer people. 😄

I've done this and my throat stopped working when my nephew called. I had to drink some water before I could talk.

Now I listen to music while I work and sing along. That seems to have fixed that problem.

Considering the state of the States, I'm practically praying for a WFH job. Save all the money I can and use the time not commuting to be an activist or something.

Besides, my zoo has kept me pleasantly occupied for years. And they argue a LOT less (and don't go on and on about TikTok and Instagram, and don't do the celebrity gossip crap, etc.)
