I refuse to modify my language for the algorithm or for any censors, monitors or fuckwits. I will not be saying Notsee instead of Nazi. I will not be saying unalive. If I have to print my writing and stand on a street corner handing it to strangers, I’ll do that if it means I can call it exactly as it is.

Using alternates like "Notsee" circumvents the filters of people who have gone to the effort of blocking "Nazi" and other words they don't want to see.

@Daojoan I love the paradox of American Free Speech. Democrat was banned from Instagram. We can't use terms that algorithms don't like, and yet in the US knowingly lying is protected by free speech. For me, this is truly absurd.

@Daojoan I never understood the "Please write unalive, people might be triggered over the term killed" argument in the first place.

Someone who gets triggered by reading specific words, blocks these words.

If anything, you're making it worse for them.

@Daojoan if you're going to print, make sure to either score an old dot-matrix printer or run a DIY printing press because Inkjet and Laser printers both add hidden tracking dots to all printed material: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printer_tracking_dots?useskin=vector

Since the dots are yellow non-color printers might not be able to add them - but nobody's sure if they're not using another tracking scheme instead.

@Daojoan I totally agree except…. with modern design of social media I sometimes have to use euphemisms to avoid my posts being blocked by the algorithm, censored by exception or my accounts frozen. I still make sure my meaning is clear even if the words I use may have to be substituted.

@Daojoan This is just good practice in general. Many people filter words for topics that are difficult or triggering for them. If you make up words, that content is able to get in front of them again. Just be accurate.
