It's good to see so many communities and services restricting content sharing from x.com.

It'll take people some time due to being required to actually look up if there is even a source for the content they want to share in the first place and.. that should honestly be the bare minimum; Don't leave the fact checking to other people and support a service like X, because it's convenient.

Convenience is what enabled these recent events.

Likely gonna be more active here again, after crashing in terms of social media usage (outside of Reddit) in general for a while.

Looking at the current direction of "social" media, I honestly just don't want to support a service like X or Facebook/Instagram with my activity or presence and i feel like Mastodon - especially looking at the path that @Gargron is following - is my best option when it comes to finding new people to interact with (and cat pictures!).
