One of the interesting things about this time-space compression fetish games have-
... Sigh, I guess that's not a common phrase. Let me back up.
Most games are obsessed with realtime continuous play. But obviously humans can't play their game at a real-world pace, so game worlds are microscopic and days pass in like five minutes.
So you move at ordinary paces and interact at ordinary scales but WHOOOOSH things blitz past.

However, one of the things about this is that a lot of smaller games are obsessed with the smaller details of life.
For example, if your game features stocking shelves, it may actually feature all the shelves and all the stock individually being shelved one by one.
But because time and space are so brutally compressed, this means it takes literally a whole day to stock one shelf.
It's an interesting thing if done intentionally!

Personally, I like decompressed games. The feeling of being rushed isn't pleasant for me, and these games are almost always diner-dash-style RUN AROUND AND PUT OUT FIRES!!!! games, which is boring as shit to me.
But it can be an interesting observation on the nature of busywork and capitalism.
