We're currently watching Twin Peaks (again). I could go on for days about how weird and wonderful this show is but a tiny snippet popped up tonight that's worth 20 seconds of your time as it's just perfect.

Agent Cooper and Sheriff Truman are at a vets office. A woman walks between them mid conversation with a Llama, and the Llama decides to go nose to nose with Kyle MacLachlan (Cooper) and he doesn't break character. Trumans face after is clearly suppressing a laugh. It's an unscripted moment of magic.

@TwoClownsEating the llama's grunt was perfect.

@wilpercy

I don't know if it was real or dubbed on afterwards. I'm an old romantic so choose to believe the former.

Either way, it absolutely makes the scene. We were howling laughing at it.

@TwoClownsEating ah yes, it may well have been added but more fun to think otherwise.

@wilpercy

I'm a dreamer. I'll always go with the magic if there's an option. Either way, there's magic here on screen.

David Lynch set up the scene and this came out. That's artistic Karma. Bless him.

@TwoClownsEating ooh good. Just realised that seasons 1 and 2 are on Amazon Prime. Haven’t watched it since it was on C4 in the early 80's?

@wilpercy

It's interesting. If you can tune in to the vibe it's amazing. Funny, weird, dark, corny and mysterious.

Series 3, the return, is much heavier but is a work of art. You won't ever understand it. It won't fully answer your questions. If you accept this you won't be disappointed.

@TwoClownsEating alas, Prime doesn’t have S3.

If you get into it I can sort you out with series 3.

@TwoClownsEating We've never seen that. I guess we'll have to check it out.

@PublicWolf

I'm assuming you mean the show. It's weird, it seems shit at first, but if you can tune into it it's the best TV series ever made.

It's a like an 80s soap opera (there's also a cheeky tv soap opera within the show) but weird, dark and funny. Completely unique.

@PublicWolf

If you can get onboard with it's vibe, you will love it. It takes a bit of tuning in as it seems badly acted, corny at first, but it's really funny and very dark.

@TwoClownsEating I’ve been meaning to watch Twin Peaks for literally 30 years. I guess I should get onto that.

@swisslet @TwoClownsEating Your experience will be very different to mine, watching it when it was first broadcast. It was proper Event Television when you'd rush back from the pub or wherever else to ensure you didn't miss it. I hope if you do get round to it there's at least some semblance of just what impact it had.

We watched the first black lodge episode last night and I remember how fucking impactful that was back when first broadcast. Blew minds on terrestrial TV.

@swisslet

Mate, seriously, it's next level, even after everyone had 30 years to think on it, it's still head and shoulders above.

It looks shit and corny to begin with but when you step back a bit and absorb it, it's arch genius business. It's like a corny soap opera but at the same time a metaphysical thriller comedy.

It's unique. If you get it you'll love it but it takes a bit of tuning in
