Mastodon feature request: A "Lock My Ass Out" option where you could set it to not let you post for a certain amount of time, like 20 January in your local time zone because of current events. Or not let you post for like 12 hours because things are shit and you're going to get fucked up and don't want to post something more regrettable than normal.

@FritzAdalis But it would need a proper lockout function too. Otherwise some of us would be like "no no no I'm fine trust me this is a great idea and I need to share it with the world" and disable the mute and get fired. Or maybe arrested.

@neurovagrant @cR0w @otterlove i actually like this... we have a saying in my organization, "if a person fails, it's the system that failed them." It seems this is a mortality based metric to identify trends toward failure...

@scottley Honestly, I've already thought through it short term and decided that if I needed that for a bad day, I would reach out to a mod and threaten to post lewds if they wouldn't suspend me for a day or whatever. 😆
