You should paint your window trim if you're depressed. It won't fix you but you can wring a tiny bit of serotonin out of your brain every time you see it.

I just realised I haven't been sharing what I've been up to, other than painting my window trim pink. I am doing a minor reno to change our front lounge room, "the good lounge room", into my sewing room. I've been making ig reels about it, and if you wanna look at them I'll point you in that direction but I'll just put some photos here!

Today I've been pulling up the carpet so I can lay some vinyl planks I scored for a good deal off marketplace.

I finished doing the vinyl planks the other day! Now I'm just up to bringing in all my sewing stuff, and I've even got room to set up a knitting machine!!!!!!!

I'm incredibly exhausted. It feels like the iron infusion is helping somewhat but cripes I am buggered.

I've been moving my fabric/ craft stash in from the garage to the tiny cave that used to be my sewing space. I had one last spot left and decided it was time to bring my crocheted Plumpies inside.

Two years ago I spent a couple of months furiously crocheting little fat stuffies with varying levels of embellishment and costume. Now I don't know what to do with them because no one will buy one at a price that will pay me for the hours of work I've put into each one. And people on insta have messaged me asking after prices on specific pieces but I am soooooo hesitant to name a price because it is a lot of money for a small stuffed toy.

I wish I had belief in my art! I just don't know where I fit in, who to talk to about exhibiting, and how to market the diverse range of ... Stuff ... I produce.

I did a video for insta but it's too big to upload here apparently. Here's my fat crocheted version of The Birth of Venus.

@Natalie i had to get certified to teach a class once. it was a topic i was really passionate about. i asked why we couldn't let the first class be free, to prove the worth. the teacher said they had tried that, but no one shows up for free classes. if they've paid money for it, they definitely show up. the higher the cost the more committed ppl are. i think it's the same for art. you set a price higher than you think anyone could imagine paying. then, someone pays it. affordable doesn't sell.
