It is shocking that after moving from Google workspace to Proton as the back office for our professional email adresses etc, all the major Dutch institutions are blocking us as spam. All our contacts have to whitelist us individually. So I think we are forced to go back to Google, where we had this problem occasionally but not as massively as now. It seems the reason is that Microsoft, used by almost all institutions in NL, simply blocks all Proton mail .😈 ( DNS=OK configured)

And Google treats our email adress as non existent anymore, instead of moved to Proton

UPDATE: PROTON HAS NOW RESPONDED TO MY SECOND TICKET! AFTER REPLYING WITH A BOT- LIKE REPLY THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PROBLEM TO MY FIRST TICKET

@meliimming yea it seems like the filters are too aggressive. the downside of using the "highly reputable" google mail delivery servers…
I've had this issue too, but clearly don't send enough emails for it to be this big of an issue. Sorry the migration was not practically successful :-(

@chartgerink It is very frustrating, to say the least. And, yes, the fact that google is indeed allowed to deliver where proton is not, is bizarre.

@meliimming @chartgerink : this might be a temporary thing because some servers don’t update the DNS records for known domain.
Anyway, @protonprivacy support might help

@meliimming that’s weird, I often email myself and coworkers (rws.nl) from my proton address and never had any problems

@venite I have this with universities and @SURF It might have something to do with the fact that they knew us before as coming from Google, and now the same address is coming from Proton?

@venite @SURF feel tempted to now send you an email @rws.nl just to check haha

@meliimming @venite @SURF
I really hope this is just a temporary thing and that you persist!
I know that new email adresses can generally have that issue, especially if, as you describe, the same name existed in people's contact before under a different email.
I do know that the Microsoft 365 spam/phishing filter has been overly aggressive, filtering out actual emails and newsletters I wanted to get. But it did learn eventually after I kept correcting it.
