Seems like a great time to highlight that many reformers are appeasers, which becomes especially clear when the fascists have power. Appeasers will not stand up for anything but their own interests.

It is why I am allergic to sentences like "pick your battles" and "be strategic about this" - they are the appeaser's sentences.

How much time do you usually spend on a #PeerReview?

I no longer work in academia, so it really is volunteer work beyond my regular work. As a result, I allot two hours for a peer review (and I get the feedback that I do good reviews from the editors).

Some time ago I learned that in Kenya, there is a law that prohibits anyone from doing research without a licence, which has to be gotten from the National Commission for STI

Subject to the provisions of any other law, a person shall not undertake scientific research in Kenya without obtaining a licence under this Act
