Fun fact: the alleged origin of the term "cock-and-bull story" is most likely a cock-and-bull story.

I guess most people think of Nathan East as the bassist in Eric Clapton's touring band since the late 1980s; I certainly did. Little did I know that he played on the Footloose sound track. And dayyyyyyuuuummmm that's a sweet bass line.

Could someone who is more in the know about these matters than I comment on this question please:

If someone is wholly incapable of enjoying food, does that by itself qualify as an eating disorder? Suppose the person is not under- or malnourished or otherwise physically sick, they just do not enjoy food at all. Does this, or can this, constitute a disorder by itself?

Boosts okay, too.

Anyone who thinks that the magats will shortly be eating each other, and then it'll all be over and back to normal, clearly has never heard of Ernst Röhm.

This is one of Tommy's simplest and most beautiful instrumentals and one of my favourite tunes of his.

But also he sneezes on stage and shouts "excuse me" and does not miss one note. Absolute legend.

Now, it seems to me that people are most inclined to consider everything a competition, and choose the option that hurts the other side the most, and not give a damn about the fact that they are hurting themselves too.

Then in my thirties, I came to the conclusion that people in fact were really poor at determining what's in their best interest, and chose options pretty much randomly. Thus, you could either wait for their move and then adapt yours, or just wing it at random and at least seize the initiative, and hope that that brought on a beneficial conclusion for either yourself, or both.

When I was in my twenties, I used to think that when people are faced with multiple options they generally did what was in their own, or their side's, best interest. Thus, if your own move was related to theirs, you should try to anticipate their move by putting yourself in their shoes, and then act accordingly. In competitive situations that gave you an advantage, and in cooperative situations it was to everyone's benefit.

For clarity: if access to your API endpoints is/was limited by firewall rules to certain stable source IP addresses but the downstream services living at those addresses did not require a VPN to connect, then that counts as "accessible from the public internet". Even if this was true for only one such downstream service, and all others have/had to use a VPN.

If you are currently (or have previously been) using VMware vSphere as your on-premises virtualisation platform (aka "private cloud"), how do (or did) you expose your vCenter Server API endpoints?

(Boosts OK, on-topic first-hand comments welcome)
