Also Apple made some pretty bad hardware at the time. That printer, I think it was called an ImageWriter, was a rebadged and overpriced mediocre Canon inkjet printer with an ADB connector instead of whatever they had for PCs at the time, parallel port probably. And the keyboard that came with the LC475 was so bad that I scoured the classifieds until I found a reasonably priced Apple Extended II, pictured. Now that, people, is a Keyboard.

I love watching the Epicurious videos on YouTube where they have 3 chefs blind taste supermarket versions of some dish. This one is about dumplings. In almost all the ones I've watched, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are among the worst of their kind. Help me navigate this moral dilemma.

Wikimedia Foundation is flush with cash from big donors and paid more than $100MM in salaries in FY24 with execs making $300k+ annually. This makes their annual fund drives (you've seen the banners) seem disingenuous.

I have been supporting them with $5/month for years now, not because they need my money, but because I strongly believe in free access to knowledge & that this org should be funded primarily by small donors.

So, should I keep doing this?
