New Year’s Eve dinner: Slow roasted lamb, a side of arugula salad and roasted parsnips, and a pot of melted burrata cheese with nduja sauce.
Took me about 6 hours and £££ to complete but definitely worth it!

Last night at Everyman Cinema, a luxury cinema in which you can order food and drinks and they are served while you watch the movie. We ordered Serrano ham croquettes, popcorn (that I forgot to take a pic of) and a bunch of drinks, from aperols, to mojitos. Great experience, will definitely go back

Dining at Flat Iron Manchester. This restaurant goes straight to the point: no starters, they give you a bowl of popcorn upon arrival.
Very little choices of meat, but high quality.
No desserts menu, when you pay your bill you get a token for a free ice cream on your way out!
We got “Flat Iron Steak” and a ribeye steak, and as a side French fries and bone marrow mash
Accompanied with an old fashioned that came inside the little flask 🤩

Brunch at Menengerie: full American breakfast (pancakes, sausage and egg) and “Sunday roast” which was a plate made of sirloin steak, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and veggies. As a dessert we had french toast. We had a pint of beer and “unicorn tears” cocktail 🤩. A very nice place to go with great decoration, and food was delicious 😋

Making Ceburekai: a Lithuanian crispy, half-moon pastry stuffed with minced meat. These were very fun to make and similar to Colombian “Empanadas”, same concept, different dough!
I love finding similarities in such different cuisines!

The dough is made of cornflour, water and salt.
For the stuffing I used beef, sausage and chicken, added a layer of butter and cheese and voilà!
