I don’t see an apology.

The @protonprivacy account says elsewhere that they put out an “apology and retraction” on Reddit, but if they’re referring to that post, there isn’t a retraction either.

Just a mealy-mouthed statement ignoring all the actual reasons people are upset.

Also—as a number of commenters have pointed out—the Reddit post frames it that the controversy started in response to a post made by the CEO “last year”. The post was made a couple of weeks ago.

A friend’s kid is looking for a particular electronic track.

He told her today his favourite music is electronic and his favourite track has a cover with:

• a guy on it

• with a skull in his hair

• the guy is pulling on the skull’s tongue

• while holding something that could be a cup of tea

• and there’s a mosquito biting his arm

Anyone know what he’s looking for?

A prominent D&D channel just released a video on Musk’s comments on Gary Gygax.

I don’t really care what Musk thinks about Gary Gygax, but there’s enough Musk support in the comments to convince me to unsubscribe from the channel. (I was on the fence anyway.)

Between a clock change and my needing to allow for trick-or-treaters, we’re short two hours of our normal #DnD play time so Curse of Strahd may not be as viable this week as usual, which is a shame because the scheduled day is Halloween.

So I’m toying with the idea of running something else as a one-shot. I’m looking for recommendations of #TTRPGs that are (a) very short in a typical game, and (b) scary as hell. Gothic horror preferred, but any horror allowed.

I’d be grateful for boosts.

Wikipedia changed their best opening paragraph. A couple of years back I made note of the first sentence of the article on “The Four Fs (Evolution)”:
