I don’t see an apology.
The @protonprivacy account says elsewhere that they put out an “apology and retraction” on Reddit, but if they’re referring to that post, there isn’t a retraction either.
Just a mealy-mouthed statement ignoring all the actual reasons people are upset.
Also—as a number of commenters have pointed out—the Reddit post frames it that the controversy started in response to a post made by the CEO “last year”. The post was made a couple of weeks ago.
