I filter my feeds to keep from being overwhelmed by politcal news, and I have a couple requests:
• Use politicians' real names. I can't keep up with every joke name.
• If joke names are critical to your vibe, please add a tag like #USPol to the post
• Include the politician's name in your alt text when they're in an image (or quoted in a text image)
I know today is weird and I'm doing my best to be forgiving, but I don't wanna start muting/unfollowing unless I absolutely have to.

The mister and I saw Risky Business last night, at a movie night hosted by one of his industry friends. The screening was followed by a live zoom call with Jon Avnet, one of the producers, who noted in his remarks that when they went to Tangerine Dream for the soundtrack, they had Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians in mind. I did not know that, but I'm listening to it this morning, and yup, the bones of it are definitely there in the soundtrack music. Pretty cool.

Please understand that many people who just lost everything were already hanging by a thread. The film industry has been at a standstill for the past 2 years. There simply hasn't been work; "below the line" people - camera department, editors, make up artists, drivers, electrical department, etc - have already been struggling to hold out long enough for the work to come back.
Tragedy is never welcome, but it's hitting many here who were already at the end of their rope.

I'm looking for some new music to listen to while I work. I just don't know what to call the stuff I'm looking for. Cheerful ambient?? Superchill electronic?? No lyrics. Not too moody. Not too oonz oonz (but a little beat is okay). Not too sleepy, but not too peppy either. Doesn't have to be electronic - acoustic is fine, too.
Can anybody help me put a genre name to this kind of thing? Or better yet, point me at some artists and/or albums?
