Since I joined Mastodon I’ve heard a lot of people saying that everyone should have their own website, even if only a micro blog or something. I’m thinking about this advice more and more every day. But I have a question—can I also get my own email this way? Not a Gmail or outlook with my own branding, but something that belongs to me?

Over the holiday I stayed in a VRBO that had a K-cup coffee maker. I didn’t even try it, but noticed family members had more than one cup from it. Then this morning I saw this great article from @coffeegeek’s website about alternatives that are just as convenient but with less waste, cleaning, and better coffee. I played the majority of Skyward Sword on a hand-me-down TV with tinny, flat speakers. Even so, I loved the soundtrack. But now they’ve dropped the soundtrack on the Nintendo Music app, and oo-de-lally is it a treat to hear on a decent set of speakers! I missed a lot of the percussion and harmony layers before 😅 #nintendo #GameMusic

This is your reminder to drink your water! Took Mom to the urgent care Tuesday with heart racing and weakness. Turns out she was dehydrated. We were surprised because she always has water by her that she is sipping. Doc says when it’s this hot (101-105F) that’s not enough. Even if you’re mostly inside, the A/C may be struggling, and it can have a drying effect too. If ever, this is the time you should monitor your intake and hit your goal every day. So drink up!

🔌👩🏼🎨Made a connection with a stranger as I walked by the paint aisle at the hardware store. I paused to look at the beautiful colors on the paint chips and a lovely lady asked me my opinion about colors for her bedroom and living room. We chatted for a good 10 to 15 minutes about our house projects. (She picked a beam of bright sunshine for her living room and a pale blue sky for her bedroom, if you’re curious)
