1-my boss who genuinely listens to my concerns and ideas

2-my nephew who is going to school to be an auto mechanic and has been practicing on my car, so it’s in tip-top shape

1- heard a thought provoking sermon at church about why we shouldn’t give up when things seem too hard

2- made some sourdough bread sticks to go with dinner, but they didn’t rise very well or brown. But they were still pretty tasty! Not everything needs to be perfect to be enjoyable 😁

3- Received encouraging words from a complete stranger on #ffxiv when I mentioned that I was new to the dungeon. They gave me good advice on getting through, and we did! Thanks, kind stranger!

1-the flourless cake I made for a friend was a big hit!

2-though it was cold today, it was clear and crisp outside

Since I joined Mastodon I’ve heard a lot of people saying that everyone should have their own website, even if only a micro blog or something. I’m thinking about this advice more and more every day. But I have a question—can I also get my own email this way? Not a Gmail or outlook with my own branding, but something that belongs to me?

Over the holiday I stayed in a VRBO that had a K-cup coffee maker. I didn’t even try it, but noticed family members had more than one cup from it. Then this morning I saw this great article from @coffeegeek’s website about alternatives that are just as convenient but with less waste, cleaning, and better coffee. Bookmarking because one day I’ll be old (hahhaha) and maybe I won’t want to fuss with coffee so much but refuse to get a K-cup style machine. https://coffeegeek.com/blog/beginners/bean-to-cup-machines-nespresso-killers/

I played the majority of Skyward Sword on a hand-me-down TV with tinny, flat speakers. Even so, I loved the soundtrack. But now they’ve dropped the soundtrack on the Nintendo Music app, and oo-de-lally is it a treat to hear on a decent set of speakers! I missed a lot of the percussion and harmony layers before 😅 #nintendo #GameMusic
