Went to NMA’s Pompeii exhibition

Video - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFT44vBzqTT/?igsh=MTJsZnE0dXZvMGc1dA

Hate to admit, I was too preoccupied with the displays and the amount of information that I completely forgot to take any other photos or videos.

Completely lost track of time as well. ❤️

Queensland Police should charge all involved parties for their respective offences.

This is a a good reminder for Police, Politicians, the Public and Media about leaping to conclusions - particularly about criminal motives.

Investigations take time and with this motives tends to be the last fact that is established unless a confession can be extracted from the alleged offender.

Unfortunately with antisemitism, due to the unprecedented level of Israeli State interest and foreign interferences (particularly with information wars to deteriorate political and public sentiment towards Palestinians), motives aren’t as straight forward.

It’s sad how segregated the communities are in Australia, when you reflect on all the multicultural and Palestinian+Jewish protests that have been held worldwide.

I can’t think of any other country where a significant proportion of Palestinian activists and Jewish leaders talk about ‘Us and Them’ instead of ‘Us and our Universal rights’

Until local Palestinians-Jewish communities embrace closer, friendlier relations - with mutual recognition of universal rights* - unfortunately it’s very likely that we will keep seeing more events like these.

But even with the robust inter-community relations, the risk will never be zero. It’ll just be dramatically lower than now.

Cheap, shallow commentary/criticism made because it attracts clicks is the problem here.

Genuine criticism is difficult to retort or defend if offended.

If Landowners expect the government to foot the bill on land engineering of their private property,

… perhaps we can introduce a mechanism where owners can secede their land rights and have it replaced with a long-term lease instead?

On the other hand, there is something that Government should do:

To consult and negotiate with EU for international standards to be introduced that minimises the risk of user errors.

(Namely, plug types, labelling and instructions, cable and charger standards among other features for reducing fire risk and product misuse.

Let’s be frank,

… most of these fires is a user failure:

Rough usage handling or misuse; overcharging or overloading of power boards/plugs; incompatible chargers; etc.

Responsible users shouldn’t be penalised, and Lithium demonised, because we have idiots that can’t read user manuals carefully.

Fair warning about fire risks in Australia.

The only thing I don’t like about the comments here is the focus on fires that had a direct impact on livelihoods.

There have been several recent fires that didn’t directly affect communities. But it proved that regions that have never experienced fires for tens and hundreds of years are now at risk.

Wondering when ‘National Security’ and AUS-US relationship will be debated in parliament, considering how much our politicians seem to care about ‘National Security’.

Or is there no problem here because there is no minority ethnic group involved?

There are a dozen or so countries that are carefully monitoring and scrutinising the diplomatic movement of others to find an excuse to escalate conflict into militarised land grab. Wishful thinking has always been the excuse of dragging the ‘Leaders of the free world’ off their high horse - alleged of hypocrisy.

Direct involvement of USA will absolutely spark a massive chain reaction. Past leaders understood this, which is why most conflicts were by proxy.

… centuries of work and effort to establish the current fragile state of international peace, where militarised conflict is minimised and limited.

And all it will take is an incompetent ally to light the fuse - driven by their misguided belief of ‘National security interests’

How many ‘minutes to midnight’ are we now?
