Until local Palestinians-Jewish communities embrace closer, friendlier relations - with mutual recognition of universal rights* - unfortunately it’s very likely that we will keep seeing more events like these.
But even with the robust inter-community relations, the risk will never be zero. It’ll just be dramatically lower than now.

It’s sad how segregated the communities are in Australia, when you reflect on all the multicultural and Palestinian+Jewish protests that have been held worldwide.
I can’t think of any other country where a significant proportion of Palestinian activists and Jewish leaders talk about ‘Us and Them’ instead of ‘Us and our Universal rights’

“Growing up in Hebrew schools, you grow up with the nightmarish Holocaust films,” she stressed. “The conclusion of this education should have been clear: ‘You can’t do it to another group of people!’”

This is a a good reminder for Police, Politicians, the Public and Media about leaping to conclusions - particularly about criminal motives.
Investigations take time and with this motives tends to be the last fact that is established unless a confession can be extracted from the alleged offender.
Unfortunately with antisemitism, due to the unprecedented level of Israeli State interest and foreign interferences (particularly with information wars to deteriorate political and public sentiment towards Palestinians), motives aren’t as straight forward.

Reminder to Australian-Palestinian diaspora and Pro-Palestinian activists:
Write a big fat line in the sand:
Non-violent protests and advocacy only.
Israel wants you to ‘slander’ Palestinians by giving into the anger and frustration and resort to violent crime.
The only way you can minimise the influence of the information wars is by reaching a mutual understanding with Australian-Israeli/Jewish communities.
Government can’t and won’t do it.

Could ‘criminals for hire’ be behind some antisemitic attacks in Australia? Here’s what we know - Dan Jervis-Bardy and Josh Butler reports,

The common line of thought to consider is usually ‘Who benefits the most’
… by antagonising Israeli/Jewish and vilifying Pro-Palestinian/Palestinian diaspora?
Whoever they are, I hope Australian agencies find the culprit(s).
As for the common Australian residents, the only thing we can do is betray the culprit(s) expectations and not add fuel to the antagonisation/vilification.

Respect Michelle Grattan when it comes to political commentary,
… but as with the most of Australian media, when it comes to human rights and international relations, this was shallow and lacking.
Yes, ‘Albanese struggles to strike the right note…’. It’s not for any of the points she makes - the problem is more fundamental, and it’s a problem across the broad red, blue, green politics in Australia.
