I watched Buckaroo Banzi last night (1st time since it came out in 1984) & I was surprised by how well it stood up as a campy SF satire. It had the added benefit of what now appear to be multiple cameo performances, but were in reality the 1st film roles for a bunch of actors still working today.

I am having some difficulty taking US & Canadian political commentators seriously, given that all of them (both sides) weren't even close to correct only one week ago. They can be entertaining, but their abilities as oracles seem to be limited to things they have been designated to preannounce.
