Not to argue the point, but it angers me that The Guardian uses strike and lockout interchangeably. This is clearly a lockout- the article finally says that when you dig in a bit- so it's aggravating when the article uses terminology that shifts the blame to workers instead of employers.

@VATVSLPR Somehow, the mysterious fact that the only 2 freight rail companies in the country both locked out their employees on the same day (at the same time) seems to lead politicians & journalists to the conclusion that the unions are the problem. 😡
