Sometimes I go through my own Mastodon "Posts" feed to check something I said or when I said it. But the feed is 90% posts from other people I've boosted. Is there a way I can filter out just my own posts to make this easier? Again, I'm just talking about my own feed.

My latest paper describes historical (1990s) paleoart in China:

Wang, Q., Wang Y. & Smith, A.S. 2024. Atmospheric Paleoart: A Case Study of the Murals in the Paleozoological Museum of China. Geoconservation Research. 7(2), 072409. https://oiccpress.com/gcr/article/view/8295

We've dedicated it to the memory of the lead author, my good friend Wang Qi. This was the last project we worked on together so the publication is tinged with sadness and was tough to complete. :(

Replica Deinocheirus, Ornithomimus, and Avimimus skulls, on temporary display in Mansfield Museum last year. I think they are models rather than casts but it didn't say.

I've finally implemented a Dark Mode for the DinoToyForum and added a toggle so members can easily choose between light and dark. https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/

One of few really active traditional forums still ticking along, the Dinosaur Toy Forum is a friendly open community dedicated to the discussion of dinosaur collectibles, dino pop culture, prehistoric animals, and palaeontology.

Does anyone recognise the large Iguanodon sculpture in the centre of the photo here: https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=84.msg384529#msg384529

Either the artist, or the company?

My latest plesiosaur paper, open access, with @leneliebedelsett and others.

I first started working on this fossil material in 2005!

Delsett, L.L., Smith, A.S., Ingrams, S., and Schneider, S. 2024. Boreal waterways: An Early Cretaceous plesiosaur from Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canadian Arctic and its palaeobiogeography. Acta Palaeontologica Polonica 69 (4): 565–585.

New on the Monster Toy Blog: Scorpion Alien (Aliens by Fox/Kenner)

"I was 11 years old when this toy was released in 1992. I remember first encountering it and rest of the Kenner Aliens line in the toy isle of a supermarket while on holiday in France. I hadn't seen the Alien films but was transfixed by the toys. So, while my parents gathered the groceries, I stayed in the toy section ogling the figures..."

Paleoartist @BobNicholls kneels at his Liopleurodon shrine. All hail pliosaurs!

He was also touching up the paintwork while he was down there.

It's that time of year again when I'm supposed to promote my children's books. Authors LOVE doing that. 😬

Honestly, your kids will adore 'em, and they'll learn something too! Go on, if you all just bought a copy I wouldn't have to bother pestering you about it any more. 😇

Widely available at your favourite book stores. And your least favourite stores, too:

This is hilarious.

Today's review of the Alamosaurus by Haolonggood on the Dinosaur Toy Blog (https://dinotoyblog.com/alamosaurus-haolonggood/) has been immediately flagged in my Adsense Policy Center for a policy violation, "Adult: Sexual content".

There are no specifics in the report, so it took me a few moments to work out what I think the problem is. Any guesses?

Why is the 'advanced web interface' for Mastodon still a few pixels too wide for some laptop screens. It's maddening. Do the people who designed it never use it?
