Why is the 'advanced web interface' for Mastodon still a few pixels too wide for some laptop screens. It's maddening. Do the people who designed it never use it?

@kkarhan @AdamStuartSmith @Gargron The configuration for Advanced Mode should include the ability to specify column width. That way I could also customize it to fit my own usage of running in a browser window about 60% the width of my laptop screen.

@mike @kkarhan @Gargron That would be great, but a simple immediate fix would be to just tweak the css to make it auto-fit. Down to whatever is a practical minimum screen/window size.
When I raised this weeks ago I recall someone had already written the css modifications to do just that.
It's stupid because it worked perfectly before, so at the very least they could just undo whatever they did to break it.

@AdamStuartSmith @kkarhan @Gargron Are you sure it wasn't just working by coincidence before? That it happened to be just the right size for your screen?

@mike @kkarhan @Gargron Maybe. 13 inch macbook - not that small, and pretty widely used! So, no excuses, web interface should account for it. And it used to.
I call it the #MastodonShuffle

@AdamStuartSmith @mike @Gargron Yeah, I had to zoom out to 70% just to make it fit on my #X230Tablet with a 1366x768px screen...
