looking at building a #fullstack web application and looking at my options for #rad #development of the frontend. I'm thinking of using #supabase for the #backend.
It's a fairly simple #CRUD app - or maybe a SCRUD or CRUDS app? The S being for #search
I'd pondering everything from a #lowcode tool to various #frameworks / #libraries - e.g. #react, #vue, #htmx, #materialui, etc.
Thoughts, recommendations?

One can turn on #Google or #Apple assistants so one can interact with them - but I'm not fond of my device always listening to me. On the other hand, I find trying to start the assistant when I want to say something cumbersome.
Is there a device that one could carry around that would allow one to remotely turn on/off the assistant?
Ideally it might even be able to communicate (e.g. via Bluetooth or WiFi) with the the device the assistant is running on so one could interact with the device without having it immediately at hand.

in most ways I really like #python but I'm really not a fan of putting comments inside functions. It perhaps make more logical sense, but I find it harder to read, especially if it is just a brief description of the function rather than a full workup.
does this make me a bad person? 😂

I currently have #health #insurance, but I'd give $100/mo. to such a sharing network to support the idea, even if I'm not a current beneficiary. I suspect others of us could do the same - some less, some much more.

3/3 - those who hold no specific creed - whether agnostic, atheist, etc. There are "churches" for these are there not?
So what keeps people from collaborating together to build a non-sectarian cost sharing network?
I would like to be educated on this matter, so please feel free to inform me on why this wouldn't work. I'm all ears. 🙂

2/3 - form a cost sharing network in a non-sectarian form as some #Christian organizations seem to have successfully done for numerous years now?
There are a large number of them out there, there are legitimate concerns about #scams, but it seems at least Medi-Share and Samaritan Ministries have been successfully and legitimately providing services for years.
I know the #Obamacare exemption for cost sharing is based on a religious exemption, but this should be possible even for

1/3 - In the #USA the #political fight over universal healthcare (UHC) has been raging for many years. While #UHC has almost always seemed unlikely for us, the likelihood of it occurring in the next four years approaches zero.
so my #question is, why don't we just do it? forget about the political fight.
I am certainly naive, but why can't we

2/2 in #vscode or #cursor the #debug tab would show the child launch configs as well as any in the top-level quickstart repo.
Unfortunately, it doesn't. From what I've read there isn't a way to aggregate launch.json files in such a setup. The only solution I've seen is to recreate the same launch configs in the quick start repo.
Curious if anyone knows of a way to bypass this? Maybe a vscode #extension ?

1/2 Lets say one has a repo that acts as a quick way to launch an #environment that consists of multiple other repos (think full stack - e.g., it might include a node.js app for frontend, a C# backend API, PostgreSQL for the db, redis for message queueing, and so on...).
Each of those child repos might have a .vscode folder with a launch.json file.
Ideally, if one opens the "quick launch" repo

A bit of a deeper dive...
Lets say one has 100k files and one goes through those files and eliminates all the files one doesn't need. Later one discovers a USB drive that has 5k files on it. These may be worthless files but you can't know that, because you have no way to compare them to already dismissed as useless files that have been deleted.
Now repeat this process as one finds files on an old phone, tablet, cloud service, in email, etc.

Is there an application that keeps the hash of files after they are deleted so that if one finds those files elsewhere they are detected as duplicates of previously deleted files?

13 years ago today I posted on FB that working with the code of a simple #DOS #wargame was relaxing for me.
Today I released a new version. I didn't know about the post until after I'd released. 😂
I'd go further than that it is relaxing, it is cathartic, self-soothing. Apparently I'm feeling things around this time of year. 😳
