looking for resources for learning #redis, I'm aware of Redis University but I really, really, really hate watching videos - text or interactive please. 🙂

@davidshq Not trying to be cheeky - Valkey is still quite close to Redis (with the exception of some newer features in Valkey like I/O threads), and is a great alternative for projects that call for Redis.

@davidshq learning to operate, or to work with? for most of the usual use cases, I think your given language client documentation should be enough. If you're into reading about their types and stuff, that's different.

@zlatko yeah, that works. I like when there is a book or interactive course, but language clients work too...I just find they are often pretty focused on the individual trees 🌴
