WTF Apple, I can’t figure out how to bookmark an open web page in mobile Safari. Aren’t you supposed to be good at UI stuff?

Yes, I realize everyone being “good at UI” went out the door with touch interfaces, but this is a fundamental browser feature, surely it’s in there somewhere.

So I'm learning Rust (still? again?) and going through the rustlings tutorial as one does, and it just made me borrow a literal value via: &0

This sort of makes sense, since you have to match the inputs to the cmp() function I was calling, but it feels wrong.

Updating my remote work blog post (https://taffer.ca/posts/2024/remote/) some more, and I'm shocked by how many company websites are:

• effectively identical in design/content
• using terrible cookie warning/acceptance UIs
• hiding their Careers page (probably accidentally)
• stuck behind broken Cloudflare setups

It's almost like you could make a living consulting on making company websites better.
