I'm trying out the Vivaldi browser, and it's kinda nice. I love that it displays an RSS icon when it detects a feed on a site. Another interesting feature is Notes. When you create a note, there's a field for a URL. So later, when you read through your notes, you can get back to the page where you had the idea.

@Catlynn Squirrels are little bad asses. Sure, they look cute when they're frolicking about on the grass, and having lunch. But then it runs vertically up a power pole - against the force of gravity - when it gets to the top in a matter of seconds. It rotates its body upside down, looking at the ground, with zero fear, from 100 feet up. Then they'll run along a power line to another pole.

Sure some people can parkour, but every squirrel is gonna squirrel. Friendly, neighborhood bad asses.

I've also noticed that my struggles with editing articles, are largely based on trying the find the correct syntax and grammar for the page, to match how I want the words to sound, when I say them.

I've written an article, and completed it. I'm editing it, and using Hemingway App to identify the rough spots. Sometimes, I agree with the finding, but disagree with its assessment. For example, it'll highlight a fragment in blue and say “Qualifier: Be bold. Don't hedge. [omit]”. When I re-read the sentence, I want to tell Hemingway “The whole point of that sentence is to hedge the statement.” But there's no way for me to tell the app to un-mark that sentence.

There's a sound the 7 train in NYC makes sometimes. I named it the Bourne Sound.

You can hear it here between 1:08 — 1:12 in this video https://youtu.be/WB0aHPq3hj8?si=_W9yiDupm-DvKwN4&t=68

When I rewatched the Jason Bourne movies, I didn’t hear the sound in the movies once ... until the end credits when this song plays

https://pandora.app.link/opJ4dS3i8Pb

What I don't know is what part of the train causes the Bourne sound. I think it's the breaks releasing but not every 7 train makes the sound.

i wonder how many companies buy Linux laptops for their employees when they on onboard.

It’d be great to hear of the default being KDE on Fedora or Gnome on Ubuntu on a laptop designed for Linux.

Which companies do you know are doing this?

@grammargirl I have a sentence where I'm not sure what to do. I’m wondering if you could help.

You’re probably asking yourself “Who is this guy?”.

Is this syntax correct? I feel like the question in the quotes is separate, which is why I put the ? inside them. So I'm using the period to end the initial idea.

But I'm wondering if the question mark should be outside the double quotes to end the entire idea. Like so:

You’re probably asking yourself “Who is this guy”?

Both look wrong to me.

You know what I want? Peppermint Bark ice cream. That would be amazing.

I just searched for it. It exists! … and Haagen Dasz makes it.

Adding this to my “to buy" list :D

Wow! I’m on 6th ave near Rockfeller Center. The streets of NYC are so much more peaceful thanks to the new congestion pricing. It’s a lot less crowded and crazy now. Less noise pollution to boot!

It’s wonderful! Love it!

Excel had a feature where you highlight a group of rows and the column headings, then do SOMETHING ( I forget what it’s called ) and it dynamically create a form you can use to enter data,

and step forward/back through the rows

I have 2 questions:

  1. What is that feature called in Excel?

  1. How can I do that in OnlyOffice or LIbreOffice?

I don’t have Excel, but I figure the name of the feature is probably the same in OnlyOffice or LibreOffice

If your surname is Christmas, name your next daughter Eve. So when she writes her name, surname first (like on a government form), it’ll read as:

Christmas, Eve
