Not as much of a remake as it is inspired by the 1960s #film. This is very different #movie & is its own work.
While not having the significance or impact of the original film, this HK version still delivers a punch.
A gorgeous film with some iconic moments, memorable characters & a few surprises of its own.
Might be a bit too spicy๐ถ๏ธ for some but certainly worth a watch.

Quite an interesting Hitchcock style thriller. This #film must have been quite the talk upon its release due to its themes. It was also really interesting to see how Korean life was structured back then.
The character's actions were not always believable but with solid acting, great cinematography & some good twists I'd recommend it.

I had been wanting to see the #film Upgrade for a while and finally gave it a watch last night.
It was a ton of fun! I would describe it as the best live action anime #movie that I have seen that's not based on an anime. LOL!
It had solid acting, a cool synth soundtrack, awesome fights and just enough world building and mystery to keep me engaged.
Highly recommended!

Yesterday I watched the #film The Vast of Night.
It's a sci-fi #movie set in 1950's Cayuga, New Mexico. While most of the small town attends a school basketball game strange things start happening outside and it's up to Everett, a local DJ and Fay, a switchboard operator to discover whats going on.
You find out fairly quickly in the trailer and the film what is happening but regardless I found it wildly enjoyable, in part to the fantastic two lead characters.
Recommended!

Last night on NPR they they played the #song La Ondina De Vacares from #Spanish #musician #AnaAlcaide.
I love this so much! I need more music like this! It has that primal world sound that I love and really reminds me of stuff that #SaoriKobayashi said influenced her unique sound for #Sega games like Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Do yourself a favor and give it a listen... then feel free to suggest similar #bands to check out!

A change of scenery as I have made it to the obligatory snow/ice world.
I'm 1/4 through the game and still loving it but if I had to complain about one thing it would be camera obstruction.
I wish if an object was in front of the camera it would turn translucent like I've seen in many other games. It's not a huge issue, but I do find myself moving the camera quite a bit.
Also, the music is fantastic! It gives me Croc vibes.

I was really surprised last night when I stepped outside, long after dark, to find that it was still quite bright outside.
I am assuming that the low cloud deck and snow on the ground were both reflecting all of the city lights?
Normally the street Is so dark that I can just barely make out the silhouette of the tree on the left.

The #Sega #Dreamcast port of #Doom64 is just getting more and more impressive.
It sounds like this newest version contains basically everything from the Night Dive port & even includes episode 1 of the original #Doom done in the Doom 64 engine.
The game is absolutely packed with content & has a variety of control options from dual analog to the Dreamcast's mouse and keyboard!
I'm going to have to burn a .CDI of this ASAP!

I played the demo of #FroGun Encore and absolutely loved it.
I decided to start from the beginning and picked up the original game on the #Steam winter sale.
It's unbelievably charming with great gameplay, great graphics, excellent music and takes me right back to those nostalgia filled 32/64 bit days.
It plays flawlessly on my #SteamDeck.
Thanks to @molegato for making such a charming and wonderful game.

I went with the family last night to watch #SonicTheHedgehog 3. It was a really fun #Movie. I'm not sure if I liked it more than the second one but it was every bit as good.
It's great to see Jeff Fowler and everyone stick together for all of these films. Each installment delivers a consistent vision of what the films should be. Jim Carrey was also firing on all cylinders.
Make sure to stay for the TWO credit scenes. The first scene especially had everyone in the theater cheering.

One thing I have always struggled with when working out is getting enough calories & especially protein.
I have a high metabolism & a physically demanding job which means it's difficult for me to put on any amount of weight. Something that I am grateful for, but for #Weightlifting it sucks. ๐
I'm looking into protein powder. I think it's going to be essential for me to get where I want to be.
Does anyone have a powder or mix to recommend?

Whats your favorite version or cover of a #Christmas #Song?
Mine has to be We Three Kings by Jon Schaffer & Matt Barlow of #IcedEarth.
It's the definitive version as far as I'm concerned. Something about the song lent it's self so well to their style.
Their other covers, Do You Hear What I hear, Silent Night & Little Drummer Boy, I feel were good but either changed to much or just didn't measure up to We Three Kings.

Can anyone explain to me what's going on here?
I just installed #ElementaryOS 8 and was attempting to install #Firefox from the repo and it appears it wants to install a snap?
I know elementary OS has integrated #FlatPak support, which is great, but I would like to stay away from snaps if at all possible.
Instead, I installed Firefox from the EOS app store.
I'm no #Linux expert but what is snapd squashfs-tools that it wants to install?

I love "Story" Songs.
Unfortunately not enough bands do them. The experimental #Band #MC900FtJesus made a number of them where they would tell a story set to background music.
Their #Song New Moon is one of my favorites. They drop their #Rap #Hiphop sound and go all #Jazz for this one. It's great. The #Music here really sets the mood for their story about a girl who loves fast cars!

Looks like LimitedRun and Edia are releasing #CosmicFantasy Collection 2 on the #Nintendo #Switch.
It contains games 3 and BOTH parts of 4.
I just hope this collection gets better treatment than the first. I still cannot believe that the known bugs present in the battles in CF1 were never patched.
It's disheartening to have to support a potentially subpar product just because it's probably the only way you'll ever get to experience it.

Is there a program like CPU-Z that gathers various information about your monitor?
Info like supported resolutions, refresh rates, supported kHz frequencies, etc.
I have a TON of VGA monitors to test and sort through. I can do the testing on either a #Windows or #Linux setup.

I bought the Warcraft bundle on #GOG yesterday and played a bit of #Warcraft II.
It still holds up. The only thing that bugged me was not having it in widescreen.
I found a widescreen patch on ModDB. Just download the files and drop them in the game folder and click yes to overwrite. It couldn't be simpler.
