@astronomerritt Absolutely! Choosing to live here was highly methodological and took us about a decade of poking around. I saw your question about places where fascist fiefdoms might emerge in a post-apocalyptic England. This place was chosen in part because it seemed the least likely. Also, we have 100MW of hydro power generation within 5km, and a functioning canal. Should modes of transit be knocked back by 200 years or so, we'll be a hub of trade. Nothing is guaranteed, but this place seemed like the one with the best chances.
