@ilsk @alexwild I think it can be seen as similar to suicidal thoughts and how people often are regretful when they've had a failed attempt.
A lot of the nihilism has people thinking that they want the end of the world but they actually just don't know how to stop the pain, to fix the system and their despair has impaired their judgement in extreme ways at scale.
