Article II of the Constitution specifically defines the term of the presidency as four years. By law it ends four years after it starts, regardless of electoral shenanigans and anything else discussed in that Conversation piece. Between Article II and the 22nd Amendment, there's no legal way for him to remain president after this term ends.
