The brain rot is all over Microsoft isn't it?

I hit the DOWNLOAD button for an image in Teams. It downloads. I go looking in my Downloads folder for a PNG, maybe a JPG file. Cant find anything. JPEG maybe? Nope!

it's a JFIF file.

Why man? Just why? For the love of holy compatibility, why?

EDIT: Please refrain your inner reply whitemansplainer guy to come explain what JFIF files are.
