@tomnorthfilm This was back in October, and it was pushed one stop so more contrasty. But yes, sunny days do happen, sometimes completely cloudless. The bright low sun does cause these extreme contrasts.
Looks like we're about 500 miles further north than you are, (7.3 degrees), so the sun is that much lower in the sky.
I had one film this year taken in January really hampered by extreme contrast! Not quite sure how to control it....
