Empty skate park 4 and final. It's amazing how well this 50 year-old lens did, pointed almost directly at the sun (just a little bit of hexagonal flare).

I STILL have 6 films to scan. But I need to get my tax form submitted and the tax payment made by 31 January, so I'm holding off the scanning as a reward. Well, not the scanning, obvs, don't think many enjoy the actual process, but seeing what, if anything, I've got. And with rain, fog, snow and flood, I'm really hoping!

Low bridge. This is a defunct railway bridge, now carrying a "greenway". Taken on a group walk; we didn't actually go under the bridge, but over a style to the right, just before.

Hmmm. Just got 5 rolls of HP5 devved by The Darkroom UK, ready for me to scan. Note to self: when you take 5 rolls on the trot over 6 weeks, might pay to keep better notes on what's on which film! I'll know more once I've scanned them, but I do like to build the file names at scan time. I have the film tabs, coded like "MX M35/2 Y Ken Castle". All rolls have the Castle on them!

That half-timbered cottage again. I like that so much about this rustic building style is visible here. The thatch of course; the timbers which are the structural elements, the white panels (originally wattle and daub), the stolen stones from the Abbey, the brick panels every which way, and the tiny window!

I'm wondering whether there should be a UK Parliamentary Petition asking the government to refrain from using X/twitter for public announcements or discussion of any kind. Also F-book and Threads. This would force media and others wanting to find public information to switch to less right wing media channels like Mastodon or even bsky.
