@anathema_device I used to grow parsley there successfully. But gifted the whole space to neighbour, gardening whizz. I use tiny corner. He seems to have added dirt but not soil to this section. I’ve been digging in veggie scraps, no improvement yet. I think next year I won’t bother. I have another patch, packed full of iris corms(?). I’m encouraging thyme around the edges.
