USGS says:

“We are considering trail data from local and regional authoritative sources in States where we do not have State-wide aggregated trail data. The USGS Trails Explorer app is a quick way to view the latest trail data in USGS' database. Please visit this news item to learn more about the USGS Trails Data Portal.”
