My partner is disabled, her disability application is in processing, much of my time every day goes to taking care of her and I can't leave her unattended for long so I had to stop doing gig work. We're depending on medicaid and EBT to keep us afloat until we can get her condition in a better place or I can get a decent remote tech job. We're in a good blue state but Oregon was already facing massive economic challenges.
Feeling extremely stressed and overwhelmed right now. Things were very different when I was just responsible for myself, I can survive a lot but her life is already extremely difficult.
I really hope democrats find some fucking backbone and actually fight back here.
